On the back of your piece you will find a “WATER SOURCE”
It all stems from a 10 year collection that I refer to as “Hand Dipped”. I was staying in west Africa for a bit and in Sierra Leone (Freetown) where I was the electricity and water pump shut down. I had no way to paint without water so I went to the ocean and filled my cup. The waves washed over my hands as I fetched, and rite then I knew the water was a piece of the art too.
So going forward I fetched it always no matter where I went. This turned into a 3 year 40 country painting trip collecting water from rivers, oceans, rain puddles, sacred wells in India, blessed temple water from Bali etc.
I now track all water sources and compose each piece under “hand dipped”. Under that collection there are capsule collections, such as……
“The dripping gardens”
“Honey girls”
“Mami wata”
“Polinatora”
“Lady killers”
“Their delicious, amongst others”
And many more to come……………………….!
